A hike which will allow
you to discover the magnificent panorama of the Arree
Mounts
(Monts d'Arree).
A part of this trail is shared with the Korrigans path, which
can be a bit muddy when it's a rainy day. Coming back near the Roc'h
Trevezel
(used to be thought the highest
point in Brittany, but it's in fact the
Roc'h
Ruz, about 2km more East), and then through little paths
and trails in
the
hedged farmlands, and finally Commana and it's XVII
century Parish
Close. On
the ridges of the mountain, you will pass by old slate
quarries which made
the Arree Mounts famous (Commana, St Rivoal, St Cadou, ... ). The old
village of Botmeur Two
other trails will also take you to old slate
quarries: the slate quarry
hike
and the Mougau trail. This
trail can be reached by foot from our Bed and Breakfast,
taking a bit of
the Mougau trail, or within 5 minutes by car.
